Customer Service Representative
JOB SUMMARY
The Customer Service Representative for Value-Based RCM, Inc. (VBRCM) is responsible for managing inbound and outbound calls related to patient accounts, all while ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Use, protect, and disclose patient protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
-
Exhibit professional behavior and communication skills representative of VBRCM's commitment to superior customer service

Interact with patients via phone, email, or online chat to provide support and information on their account or upcoming procedure, using professional telephone etiquette

Assist patients with inquiries regarding their account, charge descriptions and insurance
-
Coordinate with various departments within VBRCM to ensure patient requests are handled appropriately and timely

Identify opportunities to improve processes and services within the department and company

Maintain a strong knowledge of client processes

Support team through strong attendance and performance

Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
-
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, including active listening
-
Working knowledge of EOBs, CPT and DX codes
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-
Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI guidelines
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
-
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability and desire to work in a remote environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Healthcare customer service experience required​

Remote

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
JOB TYPE: Full-Time
HOURLY RATE: $17 - $19 per hour
