JOB SUMMARY

The Medical Biller for Value-Based RCM, Inc. (VBRCM) is responsible for ensuring all required charge elements are captured and accurately entered within the billing system in a timely manner.

Medical Billing
Insurance Verification
Charge Capture

RESPONSIBILITIES

Use, protect, and disclose patient protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
Exhibit professional behavior and communication skills representative of VBRCM's commitment to superior customer service
Ensure charge capture is complete and reconciled
Verify insurance
Effectively communicate any irregularities or quality issues in a timely manner
Work as a team player
Meet department productivity and quality standards
Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office preferred
Ability and desire to work in a remote environment
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required
Previous medical billing experience preferred

JOB LOCATION

Remote

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

JOB TYPE: Full Time

PAY RATE: $17-$18 per hour
